Do you love to go on island vacays? If yes, have you been to Krabi yet? If your answer is no... whatchu waiting for? Book a trip to Krabi now!
I went to Krabi last month (Sept 2017) for 5 days and 4 nights. Boyyyy that place is AMAZING! There are so many activities to do, and 5 days 4 nights was definitely not enough to explore all the hidden gems and islands. Honestly speaking, you should spend at least a week in Krabi to make full use of your vacay! We spent around RM700 for the whole trip. It was totally worth it. Everything was cheap, unless you want a really luxurious vacay sipping wine the whole day. Here are some tips and places that I went to that might help you out with your Adventure to Krabi itinerary.
Hot sun, white sand, clear blue waters. PARADISE.
GETTING THERE & HOTEL STAY
Booked my flight and hotel through Air Asia. You wouldn't believe how much I spent for flight + hotel. Everyone was surprised when I told them the price we paid. Flight + hotel was ONLY RM740 for 2 peeple, which means one person = RM370! I guess it was kinda cheap because we bought it during the low season (May-Oct), but the weather was mostly sunny when we were there, except for the 4th day when it was raining cats and dogs. Plus, we also chose a one star hotel which is located at Aonang Beach, but I would definitely rate this hotel 3 or 4 stars because it really deserves it. Good location(only a few steps away from Aonang beach, restaurants and little souvenirs shops), friendly and helpful staffs, comfortable and stylish rooms. Do check this hotel out if you're planning for a budget stay ➼ Hotel Baan Ban Dalay .GETTING AROUND KRABI
From Krabi International Airport to Aonang Beach ➜ We bought a shuttle bus ticket from the airport, which only cost about 150 baht per person (~RM24). The shuttle bus drops off all the passengers at the doorstep of the hotel they are staying at. Make sure you let the driver know where you're staying at. It took about 1 hour to reach Aonang Beach. Don't worry about language, most of the Thai people on Krabi knows how to speak English.Transportation within Krabi ➜ Worry not, because transportation is easy around Krabi. You can find tuk tuks, song-thaew (shared pick-up truck), mini vans and taxis everywhere you go. They would usually park beside the street. Or you can also book a transport service from your hotel.
EAT
Food are cheap in Krabi. Ate thai food everyday. Most of the dishes we ordered cost between 60-150 baht. For that 5 days, we ate along Aonang Beach, endless choices of food over there! There's also a night market at Krabi Town which is held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Seafood Pad Thai You can find pad thai in every restaurant. There are also many street stalls selling cheap and delicious pad thai which would only cost between 60-80 baht. |

Green Curry Chicken MUST TRY IN KRABI. I've forgotten the name of the restaurant, but it's along Aonang beach and it sells indian food too. |

Fried insects anyone? For the brave souls to tr. I wasn't brave enough to try it. |
ARRIVE
We arrived at Krabi around 5pm. There was a delay with the shuttle bus so we arrived at our hotel about 9pm. We were in the heart of the tourist area, so we just have a walk around the area and explore the little shops along the street. There are many travel booths along the street. We went to a few to ask for the price and to bargain, and finally we got the cheapest one! There are so many Krabi tour packages that you can buy. You can check out some Krabi tour packages here, and then just buy the packages when you're there. Make sure to bargain because there are no fix prices! They would usually give low fares to Asians & higher fares to westerners (ikr smh). I would advice you to buy tours with long tail boat rather than speedboat, as it is much cheaper and you can just chillax and enjoy the beautiful view.
HOT SPRING TOUR
The hot spring tour includes ➔ Emerald Pool, Hot Spring & Tiger Cave Temple.
Price we paid ➔ 580 baht per person (~RM90)
It includes hotel transfer (van) and lunch. Yay! The tour starts at 9am and ends at 4pm.

Dip your body in the clear blue water of Emerald Pool. |

Hot Spring. We did not manage to get into the popular hot spring at the other side because it was small & super crowded. So we decided to dip our legs into this pool where no one wants to dip haha. |

At the Tiger Cave Temple. We did not went up the thousands of steps of stairs to take a look of the Buddha on top coz we only had an hour there. |

Price we paid ➔ 700 baht per person (~RM120)
It includes hotel transfer (song thaew) to the boat terminal, boat ride, national park entrance fee and lunch. Yay! The tour starts at 9am and ends at 4:30pm.

RAILAY BEACH & PHRA NANG BEACH
To get there from Aonang ➜ Long tail boat ride from Aonang Beach
Price we paid ➜ 100 baht (~RM16) one-way
Railay beach is a small beach located 30 mins away from AoNang beach by boat. Surrounded by stunning limestone cliffs where rock-climbers do their sport and a laid-back atmosphere with many tourist relaxing, sun-tanning on the beach, snorkelling, & jungle trekking, this is def a must visit place if you're coming to Krabi. Go kayaking or take a relaxing massage at a massage parlour. Btw, we went for Thai massage and it was PAINFUL BUT FEELS AMAZING AFTER. It cost only 250 baht (RM40) per person for an hour! Totally worth it.

It took us 15 mins to walk from Railay Beach to Phra Nang Beach. Both beaches are just on the opposite side of an island. |

Phra Nang Beach There's a cave on the left end corner. What is in the cave? Some 18+ materials hahaha. You'll find out. |
